VICTORIAN BAY KESLAKE ROAD LONDON

Originally from the USA my clients have travelled far and wide but are now settled in the UK. The overall brief has been to create a London home that reflects their own taste and experience. This meant remodelling space around a varied and colourful art collection. Colours are vibrant, warm and welcoming with ochre and terracotta themes standing next to rich green based blue. A balance of varient textures in each room is important for the feeling of wellbeing.

A shared office in the heart of the home.

Carrying on the theme of bold reds with cool blues this space is both practical and stimulating. The shelving was designed by myself and made by a wonderful team of craftsmen in the East End of London.

The master bedroom has the advantage of a large bay window so a window seat creates a wonderful viewing platform along with additional storage!

The classic heavy oak furniture was to be retained for sentimental reasons and the colour scheme was chosen to compliment!

Family bathroom

The original bathroom was one third larger however in order to create a  staircase to the new loft room we had to loose a section.

A neutral scheme with oval shapes, varyiing textures created a nice backcloth for the great Art!

new staircase

Industrial style to fit with the character of the house.

A modern industrial style connects well with the Victorian interior fabric of the house and a new staircase balastrade was created to reflect this theme and follow through fron the lounge divider doors. Built by Blackburn & Co Ltd the metal work was forged to create my design of a streamline round spindle with a bull nose base to be finished in dark grey with an IROK Ebony handrail.

The metal theme runs through the house subtle touches in every room.flowing out into the garden.

JAPANESE GARDEN

PERFECT FOR CITY LIVING - escape into  another world but keeping form and structure .... different screened seating areas for varying moods and weather with water fall pool and metallic sculptures
